I’m looking for colleges that have relatively good architectural, aerospace, or computer engineering programs (open to other interesting applied science programs) and are also within close distance to good mountains for skiing/snowboarding. I’d also prefer colleges with strong merit-based financial aid since I most likely won’t qualify for much need-based financial aid, but still can’t afford to pay full OOS tuition. I’m a California resident, junior, 35 ACT, 1360 SAT, 3.95/4.2 GPA, APs include: Human Geo (4), Chem (TBD), Comp Sci Principles (TBD), Physics (TBD), and Calc BC (TBD). Over 120 hours of community service, part-time job at a bagel shop, hoping to study at UMich over the summer considering it’s not cancelled from coronavirus Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
University of Utah.
UC-Boulder
Rensselaer.
CU Boulder is extremely expensive for OOS students and has only very limited merit aid. In contrast, the University of Utah has strong merit aid (up to full tuition stats based merit scholarships and also 30 competitive full rides per year) and also allows anyone to get instate tuition after the first year. It’s a very good but often overlooked option for CA students.
University of Denver has great merit aid and has a computer engineering program
UC is ranked #9 in aerospace, and has better snowboarding-and there are OOS scholarships available.
