Aside from the obvious ones (UC Berkeley, Stanford, Harvey Mudd etc) what schools have really good CS and recruitment from some of the big places like Google, Microsoft, apple?

UCI, San Jose State, the top CSUs and Cal Polys…off the top of my head.

My nephew went to UCI and immediately went to work for Google.

Frankly, there are over 25 good programs in Calif…Any UC and any better CSU is fine.

These are the schools my son whom is majoring in CS applied to last year except for the obvious super competitive schools like Stanford, Harvey Mudd, UCB, USC, UCLA. Many of these were reaches but he went ahead anyways just to see. As long as you do well in your program, there are many opportunities out there for you.

UCSD/UCI/UCSB/UCD/UCR/SJSU/SDSU/CSUF/SJSU/CPP/SLO/CSULB.

USC and Santa Clara both have fantastic computer science programs. I have a friend that hires USC computer science grads straight out of school for $80k per. I also talked to the dean of the Engineering school at Santa Clara and they can’t fill all the computer science and computer engineering jobs in Silicon Valley that are recruited for at SCU.
