<p>Does anyone know how many high schools in US, and above what rank actually makes high schools "good?"</p>
<p>PS. my hs(public) is around 500 rank nationwide: is it considered good school?</p>
<p>Not sure, I think top 100 is pretty good. Really good ones are like thomas jefferson, my public high school ranks 90 in the nation. We don’t have a lot of ivy league students haha! If you can’t find more then 3 AP courses then it’s not a good school. LOL!</p>

<p>So, a reasonable estimate would put your school at the top 1-2% of public schools. I’d consider that good.</p>
