hey i love duke even though i never visited. But does duke offer journalism and computer science as a double major? do they allow students to take two different major in different colleges?
and is duke choice for sat? and how many sat 2 do i have to take?
thanks

1) I’d recommend that you definitely visit just so you know that the Duke you love is really the right college for you (as I would recommend for the rest of the colleges that you intend to apply to) because a lot of colleges are actually a lot of worse (or better in my POV with Duke) than they are advertised.

2)[Duke University Admissions: Majors & Minors](http://admissions.duke.edu/jump/academics/majors.html) You can definitely double major, although there is no “journalism” major. However, there is something called “Program II” where you can create essentially your own major and course of study, which I’m sure you can do for your journalism interests.

3)Yes they allow different majors from different colleges. A lot of engineering majors have econ as their second major for example.

4) I’m not understanding what your question is but Duke doesn’t care whether you submit SAT or ACT and they do superscore.

5)You do have to submit 2 SAT II scores if you submit your SAT. Or, if you submit your ACT score, then you are exempt from having to take any SAT IIs (which I personally recommend).

cool. def but i have no luxury of going to visit because of money.thats so cool i never reallized it . but what is superscore?
how is the dorms? how is social life there?

Superscoring is when you can take the highest results of a few SATs and combine them.

That is, if you got (M/W/R) 700/700/700 for your first go, and then 600/600/800, you can combine the two and submit 700/700/800.

And Duke has a very good social scene! A bit less than half the students are members of frats, which host parties pretty often (that non-members can go to too).

Or, if you’re more of the quiet type, there’s tonnes of clubs (big and small) that suit pretty much every interest.
