Hello, and thanks in advance for your help,

I'm studying for a BS Business Admin: Economics and Finance and BA International Relations. However, I love Statistics, but in my economics program, I will only be required to take Calc I and Econometrics. Strangely, math classes can't count as electives.

I want to take more math to prepare me for an entry level research/analysis job, but I don't have enough time to double major with Math. I also know stats are important in Geographic Information Systems, which I am also learning.

I don't think I'd like to pursue an econ PhD, and therefore have also strongly considered switching to Finance rather than Economics concentration, but before this, I want to see what my options are if I stick with Econ and load up on math/stats courses.

So my question to anyone who has been in my position or can help:

If you could list 5 math/stats courses to take to add the most SKILLS for a quantitative position in business or gov't, which 5 would you suggest?

Here's a list of some at my school:

MATH:
Calc II
Calc III
Linear Algebra I
Applied Differential Equations I
Discrete Mathematical Structures
Introduction to Number Theory
Linear Algebra II
Differential Equations II
Advanced Calc I

STATS:
Statistical Research Techniques
Applied Statistical Analysis
Applied Regression Analysis
Design and Analysis of Experiments
Sampling and Survey Techniques
Applied Time Series Analysis
Nonparametric Statistical Methods
Multivariate Statistical Analysis
Statistical Computing and Graphics

Thanks very much for your help! Any other advice regarding majors and minors is also appreciated. Have a nice day!
