Is Business major with concentration in Accounting good on its own? I love the language of Business and I like doing things with a purpose and helping people... I'd really love to work for a non for profit organization rather than a for profit corporation although the pay may be less... In the future I'd also like to own my own business and also start my own charity possibly dealing with hunger or clean water or something... Accounting is perceived as dull and boring, but I actually enjoyed my introduction to financial accounting class, and I am already registered for managerial for next semester (I am still at a CC finishing up my GE's and lower level business courses before I transfer to a AACSB accredited university)... I am just trying to think of something that could be a good accent for my major like a minor or even possibly a double major (idk if that is necessary).

Bonus Question, would you recommend taking the CPA if I want to work for non for profit?(I am not limiting myself, I just strongly prefer working for a non for profit organization) Also money isn't my motivation AT ALL, but I am curious at prospects and earnings of a nonprofit accountant? Also any advice? Please I can take as much info as possible. Thank you so much in advance for your answers.
