good # of shirts, jeans, shorts, etc. to bring

a suit will be needed for… fraternity functions, and possibly if you are in a business school.

shirt/tie will be needed for slightly more… formal dances? possibly for a presentation?

but honestly, you can wear tshirts everyday if you want.

like really?

So is one suit and 2-3 shirts enough?

12 shirts sounds awfully little to me, but maybe thats because im a girl. really that sounds WAY WAY little so me.

what’s a good number of shoes?

shoes…

for a guy:
tennis shoes
dress shoes
running/athletic shoes ?

for a girl:
24524 “cute shoes”
running/athletic shoes?
43522 flip flops in 234 colors

I’m a guy, and I’m going with:

2 pairs of tennis shoes
1 pair of high-tops (basketball shoes)
1 or 2 pairs of flip flops
1 pair of dress shoes

1 pairs of shoes. Vans Authentic’s FTW!!!

I think it really depends on the person. I definitely did my laundry about once a week (the hamper would get so full, and I can’t deal with clutter) but I had more than enough clothes to last me two weeks if I had to.

I’d say about 4 - 6 pairs of jeans, x number of shirts (as long as you like them and wear them a lot, I don’t know a good set number that sounds right, 12 seems too low), at LEAST a dozen pairs of socks/underwear, and shorts/sweatshirts/that kind of climate related stuff depends on your school. I go to school upstate so it’s cold as balls sometimes, so I’d recommend looking into the weather to find out what’s good to own.

Sometimes rainboots are a good thing to bring as well.

Oh as far as shoes, I bring way too many…
But I’d try to limit it to: 1 - 2 pairs of sneakers (in case one gets wet or something, you have an extra), 2 - 4 pairs of flip flops (ONE pair for the shower!), 1 - 3 pairs of flats/nicer casual shoes, 1 - 2 pairs of dress shoes (maybe one open toed for the warmer months, and one closed toed for the colder months) and my favorite part: 1 - 2 pairs of slippers.
