Where is a good place to sleep if you have 2-3 hours between class. I am thinking of park my car in one of the parking structure then sleep in my car lol If possible, I don't want to sleep on the grass xD Library would be a nice place but will the librarian kick you out? lol

Lots of people nap in the library

Get enough sleep at night and you won’t have to worry about it. :)

@Ucsandiego, Geisel library has no problem with people taking a nap right?
@Kings, I take a nap every single day regardless whether I have class or not lol It’s a habbit. I feel so *****ty if I don’t get at least 1 hour nap xD Its a good way to boost up your energy for next lecture :)

^Whatever works for you I guess.

Hahaha I love napping. I pass out in CLICS and Geisel (like in those comfy chairs) all the time, no one cares I promise. just don’t snore.

dude, it’s san diego! if it’s over 75 and sunny, pick one of the sun-baked concrete blocks on library walk. or the fountain in revelle plaza. if you want quiet, try stonehenge.

^Or if you want it REALLY quiet go to Plaza Cafe. The place is usually pretty empty. I was in there once and there was somebody dead passed out on a table with all their books and papers spread out around them. Ha ha. I’m totally serious.

There is a place in the Old Student Center that would be perfect- comfy chairs, quiet, and nobody really knows about it. It’s called the Treehouse Lounge (maybe Treetop?) I think, in any case, it’s right above the general store. Happy napping!

The random benches in the alleys between buildings work too, I’ve seen quite a number of people knocked out there.

I pass out in my car in the hopkins parking structure. I pick a nice space in the dark and lean my seat back. I even bring a pillow. I need it to be dark to nap, I can’t nap in the light.

@USMC, that’s my plan. A smart idea to bring pillow lol since I have class at 8 and my last class ends at 7 so I think I will do that too :D

You need to see a doctor specialized in sleep medicine. Unless you’re purposely depriving yourself of healthy sleep, getting tired in the daytime means there’s something wrong with your sleep. Do you snore?

The Sun God Lounge, across from Geisel, has a lot of nice couches. People nap there.

@Teen, No I don’t. It’s just a habit since I was little, and I usually sleep late. I attended Elementary to Middle school in Asia, and they let you go home at noon to eat and sleep xD

did you go to orientation? I distinctly remember them talking about how ucsd was a “nap friendly campus” XD they even have a nap map!

I still think it’s more important to get enough sleep at night.

Argothiusz, how much sleep are you getting total? If you’re tired even after sleeping in, that warrants a sleep study.

What do you guys do when you have that hour or so in the afternoon/evening when it’s nice and warm and you start to feel drowsy? Or is that just my abysmal circadian rhythm?

I drink coffee as a passtime.
