I don't have a car so I need a place that is either on campus or a walkable distance from campus that offers good and relatively cheap haricuts. Anyone know of some places?

I usually go to the place in Dobie… it’s not bad. There are also some places on the Drag, and a place just northeast of the engineering buildings.

There is this local place on the drag. I think it is just called 9.99 haircuts. Do not under any circumstances go there. The lady is absolutely horrible at cutting hair and her customer service sucks. She was literally on the phone filling out a loan application the entire time she cut my hair. Do not go there.

Are there any places like SportsClips near campus?

Or any asian hair salon places? Those places seem to give the best haircuts haha

I don’t know of any asian places but there’s a ProClips around 26th and Guadalupe next to Torchy’s.

There’s an asian salon in dobie that’s pretty decent. I see a lot of guys go to the Wooten Barbershop on the drag to get their haircuts, but I’ve never gone.

Usually, I just take the bus down to South Congress and get my hair cut at Bird’s. They do a good job, aren’t too expensive, and the atmosphere of the place and people working there are great.

Sorry if this is a stupid question (I am an incoming freshman aferall…), but the Drag=Guadalupe, correct?

You are correct ooovooo

The ProCuts near Duren is all right and pretty cheap, and accepts Bevo Bucks (though I’m not sure why you’d pay for a haircut using Bevo Bucks). I’ve also heard that the Goodall Wooten, a men’s barbershop on the Drag near Dobie, is also cheap and good.
