Good places to live for transfer student

hey everyone,

I'm transfer student from Diamond Bar, CA and I was wondering what towns would be a good place to live.

I know Isla Vista is where most of the students live or is that only freshmen? Could anyone give me some insight on life there in regards to people, location, cleanness, pretty much your overall opinion.

Goleta I hear is a bit further than Isla Vista is from campus but I also heard it's not a bad place to be either. Can anyone give me their opinion on living in Goleta?

I'm also thinking about living in the Capri Apartments in Isla Vista. Does anyone know anything about this place? From what I hear on yelp the maintenance and management are ****.

About me: I'm trying to meet new friends, people, and also graduate on time.

Thanks and hope to hear some of you're responses soon,

Dont live in Goleta. IV is right next to campus. The whole square-mile is a complete ghetto, but there are nice places to stay. I stayed in University owned apartments (Santa Ynez) my first year, and it was great. Freshmen are forced to live in the dorms for their first year.

People are chill
Location is great
Cleanliness is a hit or miss
My overall opinion: Ditch the Goleta idea.

Worst possible choice for living!
