Good rug for dorm rooms

Hey, my roommate and I are currently struggling to find a good rug/carpet for our dorm. Do any of you have any good services or websites to recommend? The recommended size for our room is anywhere from 7' x 10' to 9' x 12', and we'd like to keep it around $100 if possible. Thanks!

I would get a remnant from a carpet store near your school. Something dark enough to hide dirt but thin enough that you can roll and store it easily over the summer. You can always put a pad under it to make it more comfortable. Or try Wayfair. <a href=“Wayfair | Area Rugs You'll Love in 2023”>Wayfair | Area Rugs You'll Love in 2023; You’d probably have more attractive options if you could spend a little more.

Hi there!

I agree that carpet remnants are a good idea because they’re pretty large and a good bargain, especially if you’re looking to entirely cover up a linoleum floor. Ikea is another good place to look at if you’re going for something affordable–I got a medium-sized rug for my room for only $15 awhile ago. The quality wasn’t the best, though.

For my dorm room this year, I’m thinking about laying down a couple of FLOR carpet tiles. They’re a bit expensive (in my opinion) though! I believe they run about 10 to 15 bucks for one tile, but if you’re just looking to put something under your desk, then I think you should be okay budget-wise.

Best of luck!
