Good SAT Composite, uneven distribution

I’m currently a senior in high school applying to college, and I have no plans to retake the SAT. I took it as a sophomore (rising junior) and scored a 1520 with a 730/790 breakdown. I’ve been reading a lot of CC posts saying that 760/760 is a stronger score than 790/730. Does it actually matter that much what my score distribution is? Will the lower Math score hurt me as a prospective STEM applicant? Thanks.

I think many STEM applicants look that way. Also, many more kids score near 800 in Math than English (I think). So I’d say that is fairly typical.

@sunnyschool Thanks for the response! Mine is actually split the other way though  I’m a STEM applicant with almost 800 English and 730 math…
