Good SAT IIs to take?

Hi

I'm wondering whether I should take SATIIs or not mainly because I don't know what are easy tests to score high. I'm Korean who has competed in math competition so I'm thinking of SATII on math and on Korean.

What other options? :-D

Math is by far the easiest SAT II test. Other popular tests are Us History and bio. Just take what you are interested in and what you are strongest in.

Do they have a Korean SAT II test? If they do it won't really look that good for you since you speak Korean. It won't really matter. It's for people who are trying to learn the language.

korean is by far the easiest. I believe that roughly 50% of takers score 800 compared to 10% of IIC ers.

If you speak korean, it is kinda the easy way out. If they ask for 2, then take 3 if you're taking korean. it's kinda like taking math I and math II. It's the easy way out of their subject test requirements. Certianly not helping your chances.

I'm sure they'll find out somehow that you speak Korean. Than the test will be completely worthless.

If you're a native Korean speaker, that language test won't really help you. The math and history ones are the easiest in my opinion. There are very nice grading curves on US history, World History, and Math II.

Math IIc is a staple SAT II.

Hmm... SATIIs seem so limited compared to APs.

Can you guys copy the list below and put the level of difficulty from 1 to 5 (5 being most difficult)? I took out US History since you guys said it was easy, and Korean and other foreign languages. Obviously, Math was out too since it won't be that difficult I think (although, I heard it was difficult to get 800?).

Thanks!

Literature:
World History:
Biology E:
Biology M:
Chemistry:
Physics:

it also depends how familiar you are in each subject.

literature: 5 (just like a very very very very hard CR section or the AP Lit exam...so for me it would be hard...i dont know how good you are at interpreting ambiguous poems)

Biology E: 2 (take this if you took AP Environmental...or you are better at biology on the ecology side)

Biology M: 1 (i took AP Bio and i took this exam a month after the AP. EXTREMELY easy for me, because i remembered absolutely everything)

Chemistry: 3-4 (from what i heard, unless you are amazing at chem, dont take it. i think the entire test, you have to do the math by hand)

Take SAT IIs in your strongest subjects. It doesn't matter if somebody else finds a certain test easy.

Don't use the Korean SAT II as one of your minimum SAT IIs. It's okay to take it, but if it's your native language, you should not rely on it in any way. It's too easy to do well on it, and colleges will not be impressed. This issue has been discussed elsewhere on CC; search or click through the last couple of weeks' posts.

Physics: Depending on your preparation, 2ish (1 if you´ve taken any AP physics, 3 if your school´s physics is awful)

You do have to do the math by hand on the chem, but it really isn't that bad.

I decided to take Math IIC and Biology. Everyone says E is easier than M but I've never really learned about Ecology. My school focused on Molecular part more... Still, take E because it's easier? Or is that just people's opinion?
