Hey everyone :)
I was just wondering what a good SAT score would be for an international student whose native language is not english ?

Depends on the college ur applying to

Yeah, it all really depends on the school. Most people think anything above a 2000 is great.

Let’s say : Ivy league ?

Everyone under is rejected

XD bump__

Sky is your limit. Aim at as high as possible. They have plenty of applicants with perfect scores.

To tell you the truth, I think you have to be even better as an international applicant. In most colleges, international students make up about 10% of their overall student population. Let’s say, for a freshman class of 1200, they will accept 120 internationals… from a bunch of countries!

Top schools seems to talk about having students from 40+ nationalities, so let’s say if you’re lucky, they will take 3 from your country. And you have to be one of them! Believe me, it’s possible, but you really have to stick out.

By the way, they don’t care if your native language is not English, they have enough international applicants who speak English perfectly.

My advice: be a star academically, get great SAT scores, have excellent recommendation letters, write essays which reflect your unique voice, and then hope for the best :)

Thank you very much everyone :)
