What are some good schools for Biology?

Bump Bump Bump

Pretty much all schools have solid undergraduate biology program. The question lies where are the research internships coming? How plentiful are there? How active are the PIs in allowing undergrad students in their lab to conduct research? Then, there is faculty quality issue.

Search the boards, this question has been asked many times already. :-p

Stanford. If you want to do premed, Stanford has a human biology major which I think is pretty unique. If you're just interested in Biology I'm pretty sure Stanford's program is ranked number 1. But a lot of other schools have high ranked programs as well.

Yes, this is a perennial topic here on CC. I recommend that you get an idea of what branch of Biology interests you. Behavioral Ecology, Environmental, Organismal, Earth Sciences, Biochemistry etc?

If you're interested in undergraduate research, find out if such opportunities are readily available at XYZ college. Keep in mind that introductory Biology courses at public universities can be HUGE. Liberal arts colleges can excel at teaching Biology, but are not necessarily better than the best large state schools.
