Good Summer Programs

You should go to Michigan Avenue and shop. I did it last year, and I had a blast.

ESP costs $350, but it is worth it. I had a great time at ESP.

wow thanx for all of the posts guys...bizzump!

bump.............

I agree with HiWei.

EPGY was freaking awesome. =D

BTW, HiWei, it seems like you were in Session 1 of EPGY 2005? What subject did you do?...

I think SHARP's selectivity varies with residential being more competitive than commuter and also based on locaiton. I'm doing commuter and according to my acceptance letter, 20 students of the 400 who applied were chosen.

bump.............

Rising female juniors should consider Women's Technology Program at MIT for summer 2006

MIT also has a "Minority Introduction to Engineering Program," which I heard is very good.

I'm doing SHARP at CalState LA. There were 140 residents accepted at 7 universities out of more than 1500. It's really fun and very busy.

I don't know if anyone's still reading this thread, but who cares, I'll throw in my vote for TASP anyway! I know it's a "humanities" program, but if you did have the academic record necessary to get in, it would be foolish to not at least apply. The people here are mind-bogglingly brilliant and immense fun, and the whole structure of the program is conducive to having a great time and an intensely intellectually stimulating six-weeks. Oh, and if you need the extra encouragement, yes TASP is arguably one of the two most useful summer programs you could possibly have on your college application. Furthermore, many of us TASPers are not humanities students at all, so don't feel as though that should be a deterrent to your applying. And if they offer a program there next year, go to Michigan. Ann Arbor rocks. Period. :D

Jsn88, did you just get back from TASP?

JSA Summer School

AAAH!!! It's the last week of TASP, and we're trying not to acknowledge this fact. >.< So no, I'm still here.

Yea the last few days (especially the last day... right before you go to the airport) of a Summer Program never feel good.

:(

ye.. today's my last day of the UCONN mentor program so that sucks..

Yes, definitely the NIH Internship, especially if you live in the Baltimore-DC metro area like I do. My friend made $3000 over the summer working for the NIH. Not bad, eh?
