What would be a good unweighted GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for NCSU School of Engineering?

3.7 uw is generally what it takes to get into NCSU from my in-state HS. Shoot for higher if you want to pursue CS/engineering

It looks like I’m going to have a 3.583ish by the end of junior year. Would they reject me just based on this? (Note - I am in-state)
@yoloswagxx Not necessarily. I know a Hispanic guy from my HS with a 3.6 uw gpa (only top 35% class rank at rigorous charter school) and 1420 New SAT who was accepted to NCSU industrial engineering. In general it depends on the major you apply to (CS is very competitive) as well as the rest of your application. If your class rank and SAT/ACT scores are high, and you write decent essays, then even with a 3.58 uw GPA you should be able to get into NCSU Engineering. Hope that helps.
Hey guys!
What do you think my chances for NC State’s School of Engineering are? (I applied November 12…)
Status: OOS Senior (TN)
Class Rank: 6/256
UW GPA: 4.0
W GPA: 4.33
SAT: N/A
ACT: 34
Course Load: My school doesn’t offer AP classes, so that will probably hurt my chances. I’ve been in mostly honors classes but this year I’ll have completed my dual enrollment English IV/ English Composition I, and will have completed college courses in English Composition II, Psychology, and Music Appreciation.
ECs: Tech Lab President, Debate Team (founder and cap’n), Beta Club (Community Service Organization), SkillsUSA
So far, my WolfPAW hasn’t notified me of even my decision release date, and I’m a bit put off at the fact I might not be considered for scholarships because of my late apply date. Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks.
@MainMan did you get accepted?
They say shoot higher but what is higher? I’m very on edge.
