Well I just got an email back from Penn State saying that there is no way that I can get more financial aid.....shame since I was definately considering them(and Its my favorite football team :P.) So, barring any miracle scholarship :P, I will most likely be attending Case Western this year. To all those who have made their decision to enroll into PSU, or are planning to, good luck!!!

CH121...what did you do for an appeal? Did you speak to a financial aid rep. or did you e-mail them? What was the case that you stated? Just curious. I'm going up this weekend...I didn't receive any aid at all and am having second thoughts.

Rotflmfao...psu Sucks!

Incorrect. But I won't assume you'd be able to understand. :)

Ironically, I'm trying to get Case to improve my package!

No, he's right. PSU is not worth HALF the tuition they charge for OOS students.

I emailed them and they said that after reviewing my application...they couldnt increase my package....but they can bus me up there for free to stay on campus for a weekend visitation...I was thinking of going up and trying to talk to financial aid counselors....but now Im not so sure :P

lol Cele

CH121S, if the trip is free, it couldn't hurt to go and try for better financial aid. But Penn State is a huge machine and if they already told you that you couldn't get any more money, they probably won't change their minds. If you have some sort of hook (athlete? URM?) you may have a better chance, though.

I am a URM.....:P

Penn State might be eager for diversity, so maybe you could get lucky! If it's not too much trouble, I think you should go and meet with f.a.

they are VERY eager for diversity. it is something they like to boast about, yet they dont have that much of it, from what i hear from students
