Hi everyone
I couldn’t find a thread for this year’s Goodnight scholars so I decided to start one. Does anyone know how difficult this scholarship is (compared to Morehead, Park, Robertson, etc.)?
Hi everyone
I couldn’t find a thread for this year’s Goodnight scholars so I decided to start one. Does anyone know how difficult this scholarship is (compared to Morehead, Park, Robertson, etc.)?
I believe it is a little less intense because the pool is smaller. It is geared towards only NC State Residents and only STEM majors, as well as an income cap. Could you help me though? My son was trying to see if he was invited but can’t locate his Unity ID to sign into Pack Assist where the invite is suppose to be. Where did you locate your unity ID?
The invite should be in an email. The unity ID username and password should also be in the email. I think if you don’t get an email then there wasn’t an invite.
my son got an invite. is that a good sign of acceptance to State, or is it a total separate group like Parks?
@markfnc I think I read somewhere on their website that it is similar to the park scholarship where they are independent.
We haven’t received anything yet either.
There was evidently a gliche in the system. My son just got the invite email today.
@tonils Dang an email 11 days before the deadline
@markfnc Could be a good sign. I understand the Parks this year set their scholarship up so only admitted students would be semi-finalist, not sure if Goodnight did the same.
We got invite today. DS has not been admitted.
Curious if anyone knows for sure if invitees also have to fill out the general pack assist scholarship by the January 15th deadline or just the Goodnight? The general says it’s due on February 15th but email kind of implies both are due in January.
@tonils Based on the people that I have talked to (current Goodnight scholars), both forms are needed by the Jan 15th deadline.
Does anyone know when finalist will be notified?
@Happydancer22 Should be early February. Last year was released on February 10th I think.
I am confused by the scholarships. When my daughter met with a recruiter she said she’d likely be eligible for some scholarship money (good grades, test scores, etc). So should she go through all the scholarships on the web page and apply to some of them/ all of them? She is an environmental science major (& already admitted) but she’s my first kid and I have no idea how this works.
alternate. andd now we wait
Have any alternates heard back? The notifications for alternates were supposed to come out at 5, but I’m not sure if they were only issued to those who got selected.
I was an alternate and got called in for the interview 2 days before it because, luckily, someone canceled last minute.
