Who else is going to Sonoma for Class of 2012? What are you majoring in?

I'll be majoring in Psychology. :)

I'll be majoring in Psychology. :)

I think I will post here, so that you at least get some acknowledgement that somebody read your post! I think Sonoma is a fabulous school! We toured it for one of my daughters and we liked it very much. Really pretty, small campus and the wine area is fantastic! She ended up a little closer to home, but I would have loved being able to have an excuse to drive to Sonoma.

Well you're welcome to come visit me anytime. ^_^

My parents are really excited for the same reason, but sad at the same time because it's an 8-hour drive from my hometown.

Hiii. I might be going to Sonoma next year, it depends on the college decisions that come out in the next week, so I'll know pretty soon!

It's a 6 hour drive for me, and I'm visiting the campus over spring break. I have to really like it up there for me to go so far away, but I'm excited to visit!

I'm going up over Spring Break too! I'm taking a tour on Wednesday (my grandma lives in Modesto, 2 hours or so away).

I went over Winter Break also and loved it. Rohnert Park is a very nice little town.

Yeah, one of my friend's older sister went to Sonoma and she said it's beautiful up there. And being from Southern CA, it'd be a nice change.

I'd also be majoring in Psychology :) Did you get information about the FIG program? It's something I'm going to consider.

Yeah, same here :) My mom really wants me to do it. My high school had something similar, and it was awesome. My only fear is that it would limit my course choices more than I'd like.

What part of SoCal are you in, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Long Beach. ^_^ It's about an 8-hour drive for us (as I said earlier) depending on traffic, but I really wanted to go away to school.

One of my best friends' sister goes to Sonoma and she loves it. :) I hope it's everything I'm imagining it to be.

Yeah, I did a program like it freshmen year. It was a "Pre-AP" program, so all the honors kids, and 90 of us were either in the same class or had the same teachers for English, Biology, and History/Health. It was a really good program, I made some of my closest friends through it :)

I'm from Ventura County, so according to Mapquest I'm 6 and 1/2 hours south from Sonoma. My parents are not too happy that it's so far and my mom would almost rather me to go the community college in my city and transfer, but I want to go away.

Yeah, I wanted to go away too.

we have the same type of deal, except it's all four years. We all have the same core teachers and take the same core classes, it's so awesome.

Yeah, it sounds like a really good program, and considering I'll most likely be the only person from my school that goes to Sonoma, it will be a great way to meet people :)

Same here. :) All my friends are staying in Long Beach or going to CSU Fullerton and the like.

I'm so stoked for my tour on Wednesday! Last time I went there was no one there, since it was Winter Break. It'll be nice to see the campus again with some students around.

I'm also going to Sonoma this fall.. i'm so excited! i'm going in undeclared though... i'm not sure what i want to do

I really love Sonoma State too! I’m in the area though, so it’s really easy to drive up there. I can’t believe so many people from So Cal are interested in SSU! It’s awesome in Nor Cal.

^There are tons of SoCal kids up here! It seems like every other person I meet is from somewhere near me.
