I messed up during the freshmen year of my community college, I got 3d and 3w as the result. Later, I went to military bootcamp as reserved, and one semasters later I'm back to where I stopped. I totally regret what happen during my freshmen year. So I took 27 units from two community college, it was another sad mistake. I got 3A, 3b(all 2B are from the 3d before) and then another D(From the W before). Now I ended up stepping into another D. Now I got 2 D that isn't cleared....and 3w....what should I do? I really wanted to transfer to any UC if that's possible.....I'm willing to work harder, is there any chances left for me? What should I do?

27 units?! Wow…

Anyway, you said you’re finishing up your second semester? You might be able to transfer to a mid to low tier UC after 2-3 more semesters with really good grades.

All is not lost:)

Wow… i don’t know where to begin with that whole thing. the situation to the grammar.

What is your total gpa right now? If you go to CCC for another year fulltime and get decent grades (say, a 3.3-3.5) what would be your gpa at time of transfer?

Two main factors that will guide your admissions at the UCs. The first is gpa…you will need to meet a basic threshold to be considered competitive. Some of the UCs publish that data (I know UCLA does). Secondly, I recommend at least 2 good/solid semesters at CCC to show the admissions counselors that you have your act together enough to succeed if they let you in.

For the CSUs, the admissions process is almost entirely gpa-driven. If you meet the usually fairly modest gpa requirement that year and are local area CCC transfer, you are in. For example, if you are a local area CCC transfer to SJSU, if you have their lowest threshold gpa, you get admitted (2.0 - 2.6 depending on major). BUT, if you are out of area, the thresholds were higher many in many majors, requiring a 2.6 - 3.0+ depending on major. Other CSUs are very competitive for out of area CCC transfers, like Fullerton which tends to demand a 3.5 - 3.7+. Etc.
