Hey everyone! I just got a likely email for admission to Columbia College :D I'm totally in shock, I thought you'd have to a nationally ranked athlete or something to get one.

Also, I didn't get an interview, and my friend got one (no word if he also got a likely letter). So don't fret if you haven't been contacted to meet with an alumnus! :)

Here's hoping to everyone else who applied!

COLUMBIA C/O 2016!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Congratulations JimSauce! I’m confused though, what is a likely letter? Do they hint at your acceptance or something?

Got mine today as well! First word from any schools so far, feels really great. I’m not an athlete either and I thought Columbia was a huge stretch as far as academics are concerned.

FEELS GOOD.

Congratulations! I just got mine too - such a relief. I’m still in shock!

When is Columbia Admitted Student Days in April?

Do they send likely letters to those who applied ed too?

No, for ED they don’t send likelies. If you are at the top of the applicant pool, then they’ll put you in the scholars program (like John Jay Scholar, I.I. Rabi Scholar, etc.)

Hey jim…can you give me some tips on essay and other stuff relates to columbia university?
