I'm extremely excited right now!! I just got a letter from Smith College in the mail saying that they decided to admit a select number of RD applicants early and that I was one of them! Me and my sister both got these letters!

Did anyone else get them? :)) I'm just so happy

Congratulations! I asked because I’m a twin and we applied to the same schools…so I’m interested in twins/regular siblings who applied and were accepted to the same school in the same year. Did you and your sister express interest in similar academic and extra-curricular areas?

“Irish twins” they used to call them. Anyway, congrats to you and sister.

Smith did this last year too…it’s usually around the time Wellesley gives out their “early evaluation” likely letters. I guess they don’t want to lose any top candidates to the other schools.

In any event, congratulations and welcome to the Smith family!

Edit:Just checked the Wellesley board, and yes, they announce the EE’s tomorrow!

Thank you!! Well, we both did express an interest in similar academic and extra-curricular areas. We’re both into the sciences, but she expressed an interest in history, while I expressed an interest in Women’s Studies. She chose Neuroscience as a major and I chose chemistry as a major.

Congratulations from a member of the Smith College Class of 2015 to all those who received written letters which reflected your admission to the Smith College Class of 2016.
These letters known as "early writes’ signify you as one of the most competitive candidates to apply to Smith College for the Class of 2016. Early write admittees are often candidates for Smith College’s merit scholarships such as the Zollman and STRIDE. Smith College is an amazing and special place where you will be given the opportunity to receive not only a great education but the chance to determine and fulfill your dreams.
