Hey guys! I just got a letter from the University of Rochester saying that I was accepted! I'm super happy, but kind of confused. I didn't apply through early notification or early action. I applied in mid December through regular decision. Did anybody else get this?

You probably applied just on time. The date for EN was Dec 1st, but I recall someone saying that they gave another 15 days just in case, so you applied right on time.

thanks @ready2go2! I just checked when I applied, and I submitted everything on December 12th. However, I didn’t check off early notification on the supplement and I received an email in December saying that I was NOT being considered for early notification, but for regular decision. I’m just a bit confused. I suppose I could have accidentally been considered?

I also was already accepted and I applied for regular decision. I submitted on December 19th, but I applied to GEAR too and I think that might be why I found out early. Did you apply to any of the programs at Rochester?

@Parcheese, nope I didn’t apply to any of the special programs. Congrats on your acceptance!

Still wondering about the acceptance… but i’m happy!

Haha I have no clue then, maybe you were just a very strong applicant. Thanks and congratulations to you too.

Parcheese, you were right! I logged into the myroc account and it said I was being considered for early notification… not regular decision. I suppose that has something to do with the day I applied (December 12).

I got accepted last week as well even though I applied regular at the end of December. Hmm…
