Got back my first AP Bio test :(

talk about a confidence killer

69%, haven't had a score that low since like 8th grade, are scores like this expected as the norm in the course? is the fist test usually a wake up call?

Read the book. Read the book again. Read the book n + 1 times. When you think you’ve read the chapter enough, read it again.

AP Bio = Read Campbell. Make sure you understand the processes and can explain them on paper.

Just let it be a motivation to do better next time man, and do what integrase said! One D on one test isn’t the end of the world, bad yeah, but you can redeem yourself.

I don’t know if you’re like me, obviously, but usually the first test is always an experimental period because different teachers look for different things. If you could only see the different in multiple choice questions between my APUSH teacher and Honors Anatomy. They deal with really different subject matter, but they seem to both look for unique sections in the book that surprise everybody.

^^^ what he said. I got like 60 or something on my first quiz. Just gotta get used to it.

It’s just a wakeup call, then you study more and really learn and get an A. Good luck.

What year are you in?

69%.

69%

69.

I think the test is implying something.

.__.

.__.

lolol xD 10char

Lol, I was also contemplating about posting what Lemon said.

I’m a junior, but the biggest surprise wasn’t the fact I got a C on the test ( 69% is scaled at a C+ in my Bio class), but it was the fact that I was really really confident I got a 90%+ walking out of the classroom. I have yet to enter the class to view the test, but it was posted up online, might have been my essays that messed me up, but honestly I thought I destroyed one and did decent on the other.

There have been rumors that my Bio teacher is extremely sexist against men, and I have been docked 24 % on my first lab solely due to the fact I forgot to put my conclusion in “bulleted” form (which ****ed me off quite a bit). I’m trying my hardest to get on this teachers good side but for some reason, it’s not working.

Dude, relax. I got an 89 on my first Pre-Calc test last year (while everyone else got 99-105). The rest of the year, I got the highest test grades throughout the whole class. You just have to get a feel for the course and teacher.
