Just found out I was accepted into FSU and I laughed.

Cannot wait to send a letter basically saying " Thank you for accepting me, but I rather go to a real educational institution!" NYU here we come!

What a waste of my money.

That’s great! Thanks for sharing!
You’re an idiot! LOL!

You’re welcome. While I wouldn’t go so far as to call myself an idiot, I do wonder about the stupidity of applying to such an inferior institution. I should gift wrap a package with Gator wrapping and send it to the Office of Admissions.

I’ll gladly take your spot - lol.

Yet you applied to FSU regardless. Your need to put down another institution only reassures the immaturity you truly possess because if you were not accepted there, you wouldn’t be saying any of this.

Try not to embarrass NYU too bad.

Why would you compose a post such as this??? Regardless of where you decided to attend college, there is the subject of respect for others feelings and opinions. I guess in the end, FSU is really the one gaining in this situation. Good luck at NYU.

Have fun paying $33,268 tuition a year for an undergraduate degree and don’t let the door hit you on your way out.

I suspect the OP did not actually get accepted to FSU.

Maybe paying about $50,000 per year for an undergraduate education is good for them. After all, someone has to do it.

Think about it. He stayed up til midnight on the 18th, just to comment on a school he had no intention of attending. He also makes similar comment in other threads.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/622639-chances.html#post1061523801

He was NOT accepted. So being the better person, I will take the high road and not laugh at him.

NYUis not all it’s cracked up to be. My nephew went there and had to dorm at the South Street Seaport miles away from the Washington Square campus where all his classes were located. He essentially was a commuter/apartment dweller without a campus/college experience. There is much to say about quality of life which FSU certainly offers and NYU does not.
I will not sink so low as to disparage NYU academically. Like all national universities it has some world class departments, some so-so, and some awful.

Price and debt load is definitely an issue and based on my nephew’s experience at NYU and his brother’s at GW, where they both spent 50K per year- my son will applying to FSU as his first choice- first class Risk Mgt. Program and Criminology Department. He is an athlete/scholar with a choice of schools and FSU tops his list.

BTW- I am a University of Penn graduate and I know all about colleges and like the others on this thread question whether the poster is mature enough to handle NYU or any other college for that matter.

LOL… hey, I got into Northwestern and U Miami and chose FSU.

Basically, what you’re saying is that you didn’t get into any real top tier private schools and have to settle for paying $40k a year for one that doesn’t have a great reputation or even a campus.

Good luck, loser. You’ll forever be the guy who couldn’t get into an Ivy or even top-20 school, but will name drop NYU whenever some one asks for a stapler from your cubicle.

In conclusion, eat a dick.

SO GLAD the OP is not going to FSU. The feelings displayed by the OP are mutual.

Thanks for the 30 dollar donation to FSU. I’m glad there will be one less pompous arrogant @-hole in my class.

That is really unfortunate that you can’t just appreciate getting accepted into a college, regardless of what college it is.

Thousands of people would love to be where you are right now.

He did get into college, but he still hasn’t had a girlfriend. This geek needs to vent his frustrations on a msg board.

I agree with DeferredVictim wholeheartedly.

Oh wow, I’m glad you get to attend such a prestigious famous college like NYU!!! God forbid you would spend 10K dollars or less to attend FSU and receive virtually the same level of education from professors with similar credentials.

Op, it doesn’t matter where you go to college. You will likely not get far in anything you do, because you’re a complete @ss and everyone can see that. You will be sorely disappointed when you come across a boss some day who doesn’t take your crap. I’m glad there will be one less ******bag here in Florida come next fall.

Note: I have nothing against NYU, just this dick-head of a student… and I apologize for any language that may be offensive to anyone but Sir Dick-Head.

Moraleem, Did you apply to the University of Miami? It would kinda be like NYU, but in the sun and fun. UM is loaded with New Yorkers and would almost be like being in New York.

either UF or FSU would be equal or BETTER.

Are you trying to brag or something?

Because if you are, post your stats and I guarantee there will be people here who applied to FSU (and actually are considering going there) who will definitely own your stats.

You need some humility. Or else no one will like you wherever you go in life.
