Got My Letter.....

I got rejected, yay. Now I can narrow my ****ing options even more.

same here; I'm too ****ed off to cry

: ( Yeah, I've been rejected from 2 thus far, I know how much it sucks... but it's one school, something awesome will work out. I'm probably lined up for the same fate : / If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? Did it come in the regular mail?

live in PA, and it came in regular mail. a thin envelope.

SCORE! I got rejected, too! Kind of sucks. But, oh well. I knew it was coming. I thought I had a chance... but then found out that I had to send in my SAT II scores... blah!! I got a 450 on my Latin SAT II (hadn't taken Latin in over a year). So... that blew my chances. Stupid dead language.

rejected here

lol 100% rejection on this forum

Huh, I didn't get my letter today. How unsatisfying...

Got my first rejection, I'm still rather numb, had halfway expected wait list but rejection just seems so...final.

I just got waitlisted from Carleton, so I'm not feeling too good about Haverford. I'm in Jersey, so I'll probably join the club on Monday.

I think I am accepted at Haverford.
Listen to this.
I live in New Orleans and mail is really unreliable right now because of Katrina. So I sent an email to all of my schools requesting that they either email or fax me my decision. I get the following email yesterday with the subject "Haverford College Decision Notification":

192105
Admission Reply Form

Please return this form as soon as possible (even if you don't plan to enroll
at Haverford, students on our waitlist will be grateful to you). Your reply
must be faxed (610.896.1338) or postmarked no later than May 1.

Please do not accept admission if you plan to stay on another college's
waitlist; call us (610.896.1350) and ask for an extension beyond May 1.
[My name and address here]

However, there was no form attached. I don't know why they sent me this. I can only assume that I was admitted? I got no letter or email of acceptance with financial aid, etc.
I had to read it 5 times and all call my parents in to see what they thought.
They think my acceptance letter was already mailed and I just haven't gotten it, but I don't know.
This "I think I am in" is pretty painful.
NJPitcher, I was waitlisted at Carleton, too, and I "think" I got in Haverford, so do not fret.

I didn't get anything yet ... damn it

ummm...
according to last year's thread, the rejection letters seem to come out 1st, then the waitlisted the following few days, and finally the promised land last.
i live in cal... nothing yet... eeek!

i guess theyre sending them out alittle earlier this year?

well it seems to me that everybody who heard lives in PA or very close...am i right? and i posted this a while back, but my friend who does alumni interviews was emailed that they were sent out yesterday, but who knows if they did them in batches by decisions.

I live an hour away from Haverford, and I haven't heard anything.

well then hooray for us! haverford is my first choice crosses fingers

I work in Admissions at Haverford College. At least from my understanding, all decisions (Rejections, Acceptances, Wait-Listings) were sent out on Friday, so you should all receive your decisions within the next week. If they didn't, I will be sorely dissapointed because I stuffed literally 1/2 of the decision envelopes. Also, any EDers should be getting some new stuff soon as well.

lookin at last year's thread...
the 1st post for rejections/waitlists was on 3/21 and the 1st post for acceptances was on 3/23... so they probably do send them in batches... *****es.
international kids accepted heard by e-mail starting 3/21.
haverford is my 1st chocie too (along with pomona and swarthmore... it really depends on $$$ for me if i get in to the 3) :(

p.s. the honor code thingy passed!

Wok, did you star writing that before squirrel posted? ;)

I'm ready for Monday to come now.
