My application has been complete since September 30th, and I haven’t heard anything yet. Stony Brook is a bit of a reach but not bad and The school is practically in my backyard. I’m going in undeclared and would commute! The waiting is a killer!!

Don’t worry, you’ll definitely hear something soon. Sometimes it takes really long to hear back but you should contact them if its been 5 months.

@Jasa621 im surprised you didnt get accepted, maybe you should have tried for EOP, that is what i did (got accepted under regular admissions though) and even if you did get rejected it just helps narrow down your choices, i am still waiting for binghamton, if i get in idk what i would choose, and new paltz is a good school, i live right by it and everyone i know that went there loves it

Yeah that’s what everyone is telling me. I didn’t even get a specific reason why, the email is too vague. I mean I can see my SAT score being the reason but my friend has a slightly lower GPA and SAT score and she got in. I was kind of confused by it and I still am. I’m not sure exactly where I’m going though. I’m still waiting for Binghamton too which is definitely a reach school for me.

Well, the thing about that is that you’re more than just numbers. The classes you take and their difficulty level, your application essay, your extracurriculars, and your recommendation accounts for much of the application, as well.

Also, your friend might have applied EOP.

Yeah you’re right. I just wanted to know exactly why out of curiosity, that’s all.
