Got the Application...

OK well I just received the application for next year in the mail but before I start filling it out I want to know if it is worth it. I'm pretty sure I could deal with the atmosphere of GIT seeing as I loved the time I spent at Case this past June and Case and GIT seem very similar socially wise. The thing is I'm a Texas resident and I wish to do Aerospace Engineering and UT would only be $19,000 and they are ranked 9th in it. Even if I didn't get into UT(Top 10% thing) there is still TAMU which is $18,000 a year and ranked 11th. So my question to you do you still feel like a number at Tech and how much better education will I receive going to the 2nd rank school compared to the 9th or 11th? Also for the OOS students is GIT worth the extra $10,000 compared to your In-State school? And of course what would any thread at CC be without some chances?

Middle Class White Male from Houston, TX
GPA: 3.6UW/5.1W(All AP/Honors)
Rank: 60/496(Top 12%)
ACT: 29(22E/31M/30R/33S)
EC: I know they are weak but: NHS, NEnglishHS, NArtHS, Math Club, and Academic Decathlon(made it to state.)

Its no harm in filling out the application...Tech's application is about as easy as you are going to get...you dont even need to send them a transcript yet.

you can get in

Yeah I plan to do it now. Would it be better to submit my ACT(22e/31m/30r/33s) or SAT(690m/610v/600r) scores? Anyone else have an opinion on the UT vs GT education wise?

Comparatively, your act & sat score is exactly the same. Here's a link

I would rate GT slightly higher than UT
