Government at Georgetown

What's up guys? So I got in early action to Georgetown, and I'm thinking about majoring in Government. My question is what are the job opportunities after this, and what is the money-making potential from such a degree?
I'm not really willing to pay so much for Gtown if there isn't a significant financial reward at the end.

Thanks in advance.

An extremely simple way to answer this is that if you want to be rich a government job is not for you. Not sure why you’d major in government if you want money.

Well I mean just because you major in Government doesn’t mean you have to go into government. I’m asking if you will be well-positioned get lucrative jobs such as consulting, or even lobbying.

A lucrative path you might want to consider could be through law; however, Georgetown has a pretty good alumni network. If you work hard and take the right internships, you’ll be in a good position by the end of your four years. (Keep in mind the importance of grad school for the more lucrative jobs…)

“Lucrative” can mean very different things to different people, but yes, I know plenty of Government majors who ended up working in the Federal Practice at Deloitte or in comparable areas at places like BAH, McKinsey, Accenture, PA Consulting, SRA, ICF, etc. etc.
