For freshman admission, which major is typically less competitive to get into: gov or psych?

Government should be easier to get into than psychology.
What about between government and English?
Hmm, not sure which.
That might come down to which one you can tailor your resume / essays to, and which ones you have extracurriculars that best support that career path.

They’re both the same since they’re in Liberal Arts. People say Psych. is competitive but not really.
I didn’t get into either of my majors so they gave me a list to choose from, whatever I wanted so I just chose Psych. If they’re letting me just pick that major without reviewing my application again, I’m sure it’s easy to get into. But I think once you’re at UT and want to transfer to Psych., it might be harder.
