Is Government a very competitive major at UT?

<p>I qualify for automatic acceptance at UT, so I am for sure "in."
However, I haven't been accepted into my major of choice yet, which is Government/Political Science.
How competitive is this major at UT?</p>

<p>All Liberal Arts majors, with the exception of the BS in Psych degree, are guaranteed if you are in the university. Congrats! You should come here btw, UT and Austin in general are fantastic.</p>

<p>If you’re guaranteed in to the school then you’re guaranteed in to the government major. Make sure to take some classes with Erik Dempsey. He’s really an incredible instructor and he’s brilliant in regards to classical politics and the moral/philosophical basis of government.</p>
