Governor School

I got accepted into Governor School. It is a three week program and is free.

What I am wondering is, Is it worth it?

Is it going to be a waste of time? Only 10 people got picked in my grade of 800 students. So I think its good. But three weeks is a long time and I dont like to waste time. Some people say that it is good for college. Is this true?

So should I go or not?

you are such a liar. and a misinformed liar, at that.

first of all, governor’s school decisions are not handed down until april at least. therefore, the most you can say is that your high school has nominated you.

being nominated for your high school is the first step in a long, long journey. especially since your school, according to you, picked 10 people, which makes it even more unlikely for you to be able to attend. some high schools nominate their best and none are accepted.

moreover, the fact that you were nominated, supposedly, means the fact that you gave some attention towards this program, or perhaps even had to apply. otherwise, why would they pick you of the 800 people?

therefore, i deduce that you are merely seeking attention or information. if it is the former, i suggest you not post on collegeconfidential, as nobody cares whether you are a top 10 local celebrity. if the latter case, you can easily make the decision yourself by visiting your state’s governor’s school website.

i myself am a governor’s school hopeful, which is why i am defending it from ignorant know-nothings such as yourself.

oh, well sorry. I meant nominated. And I am just wondering on information.

I got nominated and I am humbled by it. And it is worth it. Not just for your college app but for KNOWLEDGE and exposure. You get to be with people who have the same interest as you, which is nice.
