Governor's Scholarship

Hey
we all got this $1000 scholarship for taking the Standardized test Freshman year before they cut it off. How do we use this?

do you still have the letter saying you got it? That should have the instructions if I remember correctly. Then you send a form you print off from the website indicating what college to said the money to. It has collected about $70 in interest since frosh year which is pretty cool.

Also note, though, that this scholarship can be "saved" and used for summer work, which is often not covered by any other financial aid but loans. Not that I'm saying you should use it for that (or even need it) -- just consider that if you're thinking about summer classes.

Don't send the withdrawal form to the Sacramento address givem on the UCLA website, it's old. I sent one there and it took over a week to get returned as undeliverable. The current address is on the Scholarshare webpage.
