The PA ones look at everything (applications are like mini-college ones sorta), and they are pretty competitive I believe, though it is compared regionally so it depends on where you live. Go to the website, and I would go RIGHT NOW because they are due in a month and you need three recommendations, a resume, and two essays.

And you have to live in PA btw.

i just recently attended the governor's school in PA for health care during the summer. one of the greatest experiences of my life and best exposure to medicine. I would say that admissions are pretty competitive. But they do definately look at everything when you apply. I would say that essays are extremely important because we had to write a 10-page research paper and 75-page reflective journal. Of the people who attended, most of them had high sat scores (2100+), but there were some people who had lower, but I guess they made up for it through letters of recs, essays, etc. If you have any questions, pm me

Do you have to have a really high GPA to get in?? I know it's competitive and a high GPA is helpful, but is the impressive GPA necessary? (particularly for International Studies..)
