gp, this is urgent!!!

i recently applied to ga state and it turns out that sat scores are due by March 1...i just sent them like now. am i in trouble? does ga state go with the postmarked date or the recieved date?

March 1st is the date on which Georgia State starts reviewing their final round of applications. If they do not receive your scores before they review your application, you will likely not receive an offer of admission for the Fall 2010 term due to an incomplete application. There is no way we can tell you when GSU will review your application or exactly how long it will take for college board to send your score report to GSU and for GSU to receive it. If you sent your scores normally, college board estimates five weeks, and if you rushed them, they are sent out two business days after your ordered the score report and likely received a few days later. I would advise you to call or email GSU admissions and explain your situation. They will be able to give you better information than people on a Georgia Tech forum.

Why didn’t you send Georgia State your scores when you sent them to other universities, and why did you choose to wait until the final deadline and forgo the opportunity to get scholarships?

Yah, I already got accepted and is being considered for scholarships. Why didn’t you do it earlier?

because he only wanted to go to college if it was either UGA or Tech

Kind of tough now. He can still apply for ksu and spsu.

so am i screwed or what. so far im getting mixed opinions

They don’t seem that mixed to me. InPursuit gave you an answer, and the others are commenting on your situation.

I think InPursuit’s advice to call GSU is your best option. For all you know, they might move your application to the back of the pile to make sure the SAT scores come in, or they might let you self-report then verify. A phone call can only help.

Eddy did not initially apply to any safety schools, only Tech and UGA.

Your guidance counselor who didn’t tell you to apply to any safeties should be stripped of his/her job.

yeah, i already emailed them on the night that i sent the scores but i should probably call too. wow, took u that long gp! i thought you’d be on this question the moment i posted it:)
