GPA and Class rank questions

Just to clear this up with me:

My GPA is calculated throughout my high school career. Freshman to Senior right? Cause I kinda slacked off in my freshman year... xD

Does class rank start in your freshman year and end in your senior year? Or is it different in some schools? (I think in my school it starts in my junior year.)

Is this stuff change in different schools??? TY.

rank depends on your weighted gpa.
some schools it’s different.
gpa is calculated on all high school credits you have completed.

a lot of colleges aren’t has harsh with looking at frosh grades…they care about 10-12 mainly.

Colleges will still care, however, if freshman grades bring your rank below 10% though…

My class rank was based on the gpa of all high school course grades. I took two high school level classes in jr. high, and they were calculated in my gpa which determined my rank, which is annoying because I didn’t do well in jr. high, and I would have been in the top 3 if not for my jr. high courses.

true. so basically if they were great grades, they certainly take them into account, but they aren’t going to flat out reject you because of a sucky fresh year (assuming we’re not talking ivies or close to them)

Slacked off before 9th grade and the high school credits i did before.
ummm, i was class rank 100+ by the end of freshman year.
But now sophmore year is coming to an end and im class rank 34 and 10-12rank 1
