Recently I changed major, I use to think I wanted to become a veterinarian. Turns out I really want to become a nurse. I’m only in my freshman year of college (at a community college) and honestly it has been a hard one for me. Towards the end of first fall semester of college I suffered the loss of a very close family member. Obviously my academics took a toll. In the spring semester of college I had to drop all my classes because I had a hard time working two full time jobs while attending school. Currently in Summer semester I am having a hard time with my chemistry class. I don’t want to have to drop or fail courses this semester too. I’m trying my best to get passing grades this semester. Long story short I want to know if having a low gpa or too W’s on my transcript can prevent me from becoming a nurse? Does this mean I am not cut out for college?
