How does Mcgill calculate gpa for US residents?

They don't look at 9th grade grades; they'll scrutinize the courses and grades that most releate to the faculty you choose. They also require a mid-year report in the 12th grade.

So would C's in chemistry hns and computer science AP in my sophomore year decrease my chances substantially if I'm planning on majoring in either Economics or Commerce?

Also...I did pretty poorly my sophomore year. My avg was around an 84-85. But I'm trying to make up for it this year with an overall gpa of ~93 with straight A's except for an 89 in Spanish.

So how do you think Mcgill will judge my performance? I'm pretty proud of the improvement I mad iin my junior year...but I'm not sure if my poor grades in 10th grade will be a deciding factor.

also to give you a more in-depth view of my situation....

In 10th grade, aside from the c's in those 2 subjects even my other grades weren't too impressive. However I did have a reletively tough courseload with 2 honors courses and 1 AP.

In 11th grade eventhough my grades look good on paper, my courseload wasn't too intense with only 1 AP course. My school is really uptight about meeting prerequisites for advancing in the honors and AP program. So obviously eventhough I was much more determined to do well my junior year, I wasn't allowed to take the hns classes I wanted because of my poor grades in 10th grade.

my cumulative gpa comes out to about an 88-89%

So assuming I do well in Senior year with a pretty intense courseload(4 AP's 1 hns) and granted I have pretty impressive standardized test scores(~2150)....do I still stand a chance at Mcgill?

sorry for turning this into another chances thread...

for commerce, they'll look mostly at your math and english grades
