HI, I just started junior year of high school a few days ago with 4 APs one of which being AP chemistry. My GPA is no where near where i want it to be it is currently a 3.1 uw and 3.5 weighted. I have one course in my school which is known to be the hardest to get a good gpa in. (My friend got a 5 on the Ap and a 790 on the sat2 but struggled for a 90 average). My question to everyone is if I'm looking to raise my GPA is it worth it to keep this class which i will probably have a 85% average in or should i go into honors chemistry instead and get a 90+ average.
Another thing to think about is that by downgrading to honors chemistry it will most likely raise the grades in my other classes as a result.

definitely take the easier class. no question.

id drop down a level just because of the other classes you are taking so you can do good in everything.

Try to at least maintain the GPA by dropping some rigor classes. Ask your GC what rigor level is your schedule and what would be the minimum to make your curriculum rigor or very rigor compare with other students.

Yes as far as i know i only knew one other kid who took 4 aps and i barely even know anyone else who took 3 at once. I am also taking a college language which is weighted as high as a AP
