What are the usual gpa ranges to achieve latin honors? In other words, which gpa will give you "cum laude"/"magna cum laude"/etc status?

at my university, it's 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8 respectively for cum laude, magna, and summa.

At Richmond, it is the same as above (3.4, 3.6, 3.8 respectively).

I'm hoping to get cum laude, or MAYBE magna. I have a 3.23 right now (hopefully going up when I get my grade tomorrow for ethics), so a 3.4 is reasonably attainable and if I push myself 3.6, but I don't think I could make 3.8 unless I got straight A's for the remainder of my two years, and I doubt that's going to happen (A's and B's? yes, hopefully, and much more likely)./

isn't it different for each program. i think at least a 3.7

At Emory's Goizueta School of Business:

3.9, 3.8, 3.7

Changes every year but thats a rough estimate.

Changes every year, but it's usually around 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8 every year.

Simmons College:

Summa Cum Laude: 3.9 - 4.0
Magna Cum Laude: 3.75 - 3.89
Cum Laude: 3.55 - 3.74

I don't think I'll get above Magna
