GPA requirement for transfer students

Hi all, I have questions regarding the GPA requirement for transfer students. So I actually got accepted to the UCONN's school of engineering. I know that they require a 3.0 GPA to get into the school of engineering. So right now, I am in, but the question is, what will happen if my GPA drops below 3.0 after the first couple semesters in UCONN? Will I be kicked out of the school of engineering? If yes, does that mean I have to change my major or transfer to other universities?

Before, I was told that once I got into the school with the GPA requirement, say, school of science, school of business, etc., I won't be kicked out even my GPA drops below the school GPA requirement, is that correct?

The 3.0 is the min to get accepted. Once there, they are invested in your success. Even if you drop below 3.0, they will have resources available to ensure you succeed. They’re not going to drop you. I’m sure the engring school has minimums to graduate but I doubt it’s 3.0. I’m sure most upper classmen probably average a 3.0 in a legitimate Engr program.
