is it even possible, as a junior, with a 2.7 to get a 4.0 by graduation? i keep hearing people complain about this that they HAVE to make the jump....im honestly not seeing how its possible to do so?

depends on if your school offers AP classes, how they weight them, and the number of AP classes the student can actually take (some might have prerequisite classes, like AP Calc).

Can really depend on the school.

However, at my school, there's no hope at all.

On second thought, and with a calculator, it's impossible.

Assumine your GPA is 2.7 after the first trimester is already over (and your school is using trimesters, not semesters) here's the math:

(2.77+x5)/12=4.0

18.9+5x=48

x=5.82, which, to my knowledge, isn't possible.

w/ semesters its 6.17 GPA you'd need
