GPA Transferring? Questions!

I attended a community college in which i had a GPA of a 3.0 after 45 credits. I am now attending a four year university in which my GPA reset. I currently have a 3.6 at this college. So now I am transferring to another college to complete a nursing degree. They have a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0.

My question is basically when I apply to this college, do they accept my 3.6 GPA since it reset at the new college. Or are they going to look at both of my transcripts and get a cumulative from that?

The four year university I am at now has all of my credits from my community college on it as Pass or Fail courses. and since my GPA reset it is pretty good (3.6). I don’t know if the new college I am transferring to will just look at the Pass / Fail courses and my new GPA, or if they will take the 3.0 and 3.6 and somehow combine them.

Super confusing…
Thanks

Your GPA will not transfer but will be only that of your new university. I am not aware of many, if any, universities which compute the GPA including grades from the previous school. That is why there is usually a residency requirement to get a degree, so that there is a substantial GPA record.

@xraymancs ok awesome, so in that case, the better GPA from my current university is what will be considered?

When you apply for a transfer, the school will consider all your transcripts and you must submit them all. They will see the GPA from both of the universities but the later one will certainly hold more weight in the decision.
