gpa vs course rigor

so far during hs, i've had mediocre (to be generous) grades in my english class (about 88 avg the past 2 years, with the honors weight), but this was because i was/am in honors. now, i know that i can easily have 92-95 in a standard class, but i don't know if i should drop out of honors or not because i want to take all honors/ap classes next year.

basically, what i'm trying to ask is should i sacrifice the honors class for the grade? the english teacher in my junior year is supposed to be really tough, but then again, he's supposed to be real good when it comes to recommendations. and i feel that next year, i am going to be fully committed to my studies, especially english.

so far, i have about a 92.?? avg overall if that means anything.

Ideally, you would be getting As in the honors classes.

That's the truth.

Dropping honors is a bad sign.

not to be mean, but i would be getting an A if i could. maybe i just have to step up my game this year...

don't drop honors...just work a lot harder.

If, say there was a toss-up between an A grade and keeping an honours class, stick with the advanced class (none of us know your limit but you, so if an 88 is the bezt you can do, and you've worked hard for it, you should be satisfied) :)

I agree with the poeple here, stick with the honors class, even if that means getting a grade that does not meet your standard.
