GPA vs Test Scores

I was just wondering what are my chances of getting accepted into a university with a GPA lower than their posted average but a SAT score in their average range. Anybody have any ideas?

College admissions isn’t a scores and numbers game. If you have an outstanding profile in other areas, you could still be accepted. However, a lower GPA is generally not a good sign.

GPA is ALWAYS more important than your SAT.
agrees with @Woandering‌ that many colleges look at more than these two, but low GPA and relatively high SAT is a bad mismatch

High SAT but low GPA is often the case of smart kids that were a bit lazy in high school.
