I just transferred schools for my junior year, from a competitive private catholic school to a well ranked public school. At the private school, my UW GPA was 3.59, and weighted 3.62. I just looked at my cumulative GPA for my new school, and it is a 3.492. The 3.4 burns my eyes! I didn't do very well last year (for my standards), and my GPA dropped from a 3.8 freshman year. I don't think it's fair how my school changed my GPA because my old school had two less classes than my new one, and also our grades were weighted differently than my new school. However, I was aware that they might change my GPA before I transferred. I didn't anticipate the second semester grades that I received. When I apply to college next year, they are going to see my revised GPA. Will my school send them my old transcripts or send a note talking about the circumstance? Or should I talk to my school? How big of a difference does that .1 make in my GPA? Maybe it's just all in my head that it's a big deal. I plan on getting my best grades this year so I can get my GPA up to 3.7 by the end of high school.

Sorry - didn't proofread, I'm in a hurry! Thanks :)
