Gpa

do colleges see weighted gpa, unweighted gpa, or both. my unweighted gpa is a 3.997 but weighted it is higher, I think around a 4.5/4.6. which will colleges see?

Un-weighted

^False. They look at the rigor of the classes you take and then they determine which one to look at.

For Example:

If a student has taken many AP classes and gets a good weighted GPA of lets say 4.3 but he gets a low unweighted average of 3.5 they will actually be very HAPPY that the student challenged himself. Even though he got a low Unweighted GPA, They will look at the weighted GPA more.

im in all level 1 classes and am taking 1 ap. next year however I will be taking 2 ap’s, 2 advanced, and the rest level 1.

Ask your GC what is shown on your transcript. That is what the colleges will see. If both are provided it will depend on the college. Most will use the UW # while considering course rigor. Some will use the wtd # as provided.

we have almost exactly the same stats, so this applies to me too.
