Is a 3.7 GPA good enough for ivy league recruits?

Depends on which sport, but really, if 3.7 is unweighted, the athlete is a high enough priority recruit in terms of ability and coach’s desire, and scores are acceptable, then 3.7 is fine.

what about a 28 ACT for a sport such as lacrosse, hockey, football? I’ve heard of people getting in with 1800s. Is that possible? and yes it’s unweighted.

It’s possible with a 28 ACT and 1800s SAT for football, hockey and lacrosse for Ivy. But the gpa has to be pretty good with a good course load and, of course, the coach has to really want the kid. They have to be a high priority (all state etc. total package) recruit.

But yes, it happens every year.
