Hey everyone, how important are art electives in a transcript? I’ve done really well in AP sciences and other high level courses (want to go into engineering), but my grades in art electives aren’t that great (B +). Is that bad? Also how important is an upward trend in grades?
anyone?
I don’t think colleges will care too much about your grade in an elective. Simply put, unless you plan on being an art major, or maybe architecture, you’re art grade won’t make or break your admissions chance. Anyway, a B+ in art of all things isn’t anything to stress about.
And yes, and upward trade in grades is great, and I would say is pretty important. That said, if you are already getting A’s…it’s not like it matters too much.
It depends on the school. Some consider all subjects from all years for GPA calculation. Even with that, the impact on your GPA should be minimal.
